This guidance will help you prepare for your travel and arrival in the United States so you can begin your experience with confidence.
Before You Travel
Make sure you complete the following steps before your departure:
Review your DS-2019 Form: Know your program dates and details
Secure your housing arrangements (if applicable)
Confirm your flight itinerary with Pan Atlantic
and
your Host Organization
Review arrival instructions from your host company
Important Documents
Keep the following documents in your carry-on bag (
not
checked luggage):
Passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay)
J-1 Visa (located in your passport)
DS-2019 Form
SEVIS (I-901) receipt of payment
Host company details and address
Sponsor contact information
